Infossist

Infossist.co.za is a site that collects, aggregates and makes displays data sets about South Africa. In the future Infossist will hold and report on data about the African continent as a whole. South Africa was chosen as the country to implement a proof of concept.

The process of maintaining Infossist spans the whole data management and Business Intelligence fields. The steps include:

• Finding and extracting the data set
• Transforming the data set into a data warehouse
• Loading the data into the production database
• Producing the charts and graphs to convert the data into information.

The entire process requires strong data management skills.
